1983 Gamma Attack was a shooter game for the Atari 2600 launched in the United States. Gammation, a small video game studio based in Fairborn, Ohio, developed this game in 1982. And, budding programmer Bob Esken founded Gammation. Unfortunately, shortly after the game’s debut, the company collapsed but returned in 2008 to make homebrew games for the Atari community.
Gamma Attack is a game controlled by the player. It is a flying saucer that can be flown left, right, up, and down. Horizontal scrolling is possible too. The game’s target is to gain as many points as possible by shooting the tanks before you reach the bottom. You must strive to avoid the enemy’s shots as they will cause the player’s ship to lose altitude if they hit it. The alien emerges when the boat strikes the earth, and the game is over.
What is the rarity of this item?
1983 Gamma Attack is one of the most sought-after video games. Unfortunately, it is the only cartridge that has survived since 2008. It’s also the only game that the firm has developed. Although, the fact that it believes to have barely sold 20 copies when it was first released. There are, however, a few reconditioned copies of the game that sold out.
There is no other way to identify the game like the legendary Gamma-Attack besides a black cartridge with a “Gammation” label.

On eBay, there was a copy listed for $50,000 and hasn’t sold. So Anthony DeNardo is the current owner of the game’s only original copy. And he found it without even realizing how uncommon it was. It is estimated to be worth between $20,000 and $50,000.
