Who is the person behind this item?

This Rocky Boxing Boots is one of the iconic props of Actor Stallone.

Robert “Rocky” Balboa (also known as The Italian Stallion) is the fictional protagonist of the Rocky film franchise. 

Sylvester Stallone(Iconic Film Professional Actor) developed the character and played him in each franchise’s eight films. 

In the movie, you can see a version of him as a working-class or impoverished Italian-American from Philadelphia’s slums who began his career as a club fighter and “enforcer” for a local loan shark. 

Furthermore, His character inspiration is overcoming challenges in his personal life and professional boxing career.

Stallone is behind Rocky’s Character.

In addition, the Rocky Steps got called after Sylvester Stallone’s front entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the Rocky series.

Rocky’s character got immortalized in a statue near the museum in Philadelphia, and he got inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

Why is this item so rare?

Because of that fact, this shoe was part of an era. When Nike didn’t get all the shoes, you can think of is creating something unique for Rocky 3.

At the time, Nike didn’t even make boxing footwear like this. From the interior to exterior, all with classic, all-leather. But they’re also exceptionally aerodynamic and athletic because the soles-uniquely textured and custom-made.

According to Stallone, the boots were a custom design from Nike.

It’s one of a kind and explicitly designed for Rocky’s universe.

Hence, Stallone could fly around the ring twice as quickly as he could in that old-fashioned boxing shoes.

How much is it worth today?

These Stallone shoes as Rocky Balboa when he reclaims the title from “Clubber Lang” were auctioned for a total of $24,375 in Los Angeles, hosted by Heritage Auctions, on December 18 – 20, 2015.
