Elvis Presley was born into a family of humble origins. However, he grew up becoming one of the most significant well celebrities in rock ‘n’ roll history. They labeled him the “King of Rock and Roll.” He began to appear on the radio, tv, and the silver screen by the mid-1950s. After his death, Presley has remained one of the world’s greatest music idols.

What is so unique about it?

Elvis Presley Gold Leaf Painted Piano was built in 1928 by the Piano & Organ Company. The piano has a 24k gold finish on it. But, the natural color of the grand piano was white. It was also known as the world’s most enormous grand piano. 

In 1955, Presley bought the piano for his mother. But this piano has been hidden since Presley’s mother’s death. Later on, the piano was given a 24-karat gold leaf polish by Priscilla. She gives it as a gift in honor of their first wedding anniversary to Elvis at Christmas 1968.

Elvis played his grand piano inside a music room at his Graceland residence. Many hours of practice and entertainment revolved around the piano. When Elvis invited friends and celebrities around, he used to play it all the time.

How much is Elvis’s gold piano worth?

Russ Kemppel, an Ohio businessman and collector, has paid $2 million for the 24-karat gold leaf Kimball grand piano after Elvis died in 1977. He then kindly leased it to the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville for 22 years, at the cost of just $1 per year.

However, in 2015, Julien’s Icons and Idols: Rock ‘n’ Roll Auction featured the piano. That’s where Hard Rock International acquired the grand piano. $610,000 was the asking price. According to reports, the piano is their 80,000th piece of memorabilia.
