Undoubtedly, one of the most well-known superhero characters ever created is Wolverine. That makes his first appearance here in Hulk 181 (November 1974). According to some comic experts, this is the “Action Comics #1 of the Bronze Age.”

Who was the first Wolverine?

James “Logan” Howlett, famous as Wolverine, is a mythical figure from 20th Century Fox’s comic book hero film series X-Men. Showcased by Hugh Jackman and derived from the Marvel Comics protagonist Wolverine.

Howlett was born in 1832 in Canada. At 13, he attacks his family’s groundskeeper for killing his father. Then, escaping after knowing the groundskeeper was his biological father. And he was seeing his mother’s loathing at him killing him. Later on, Howlett devoted the next century to fighting numerous wars with Victor Creed, his brother.

Meanwhile, in the Second World War, he was captured in a Japanese POW camp in 1945. He freed the life of a Japanese officer, Ichiro Yashida, from the bombing of Nagasaki. During the Vietnam War, he briefly joined Colonel William Stryker’s black-ops strike unit, “Team X.” In 1962, Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr (recruiting mutants) approached Howlett.
