How did Star Wars 1 start?

With the help of many people, including Roy Thomas, the Star Wars comic came to light.

Roy Thomas is a marvel comic writer and editor born on November 22, 1940. When writing the future adventures in the Marvel Star Wars comic series, he was the first to produce the Expanded Universe and wrote the comics adaptation for A New Hope. Still, he only stayed on for ten issues in all.

Since the 1977 film Star Wars, numerous comic book publishers have released Star Wars comics. Marvel Comics started its first series in 1977, starting with a six-issue comic adaptation of the film and lasted for 107 issues and an adaptation of The Empire Strikes Back. Marvel also issued a return of the Jedi, including spin-offs based on Droids & Ewoks. Between 1979 and 1984, an American newspaper carried a self-titled comic strip. Blackthorne Publishing published Three-issue 3-D comics from 1987 to 1988.
