Who is the person behind this item?

The legendary Kobe Bryant is behind this 1996 Topps Chrome Refractor Bgs 10 Black Label (Kobe Bryant Rookie Card).

From the start, Kobe Bryant and basketball got inextricably linked. Kobe Bryant was born in Philadelphia, the son of long-time NBA player Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, and star at nearby Lower Merion High School.

Kobe had a 30.8 point per game average in high school and was the nation’s top college prospect, but he decided to become pro and wound up with the Los Angeles Lakers as an 18-year-old rookie following a draft-connected transaction.

Height being at 6’6″, he started as a small onwards for two years before swapping to shooting guard for the rest of his profession, where he spent most of his time. Within a few more years, he had proved himself as a superstar.

Bryant devoured his entire NBA career with the Lakers, winning five titles.

Why is this item so rare?

It has the highest grade of any Kobe Bryant card, a BGS 10 Pristine Black Label.

Notably, without a doubt, the most sought-after Kobe Bryant rookie card in the hobby, together with the legendary set that provides for Allen Iverson and Ray Allen rookie cards.

It’s just two specimens of the legendary Bryant rookie Refractor with 10s in all four subgrades: corners, centering, edges, and surface.
