Who is the person behind this item?
Torched Strat of Jimi Hendrix has a story behind it.
Jimi Hendrix, real name James Marshall Hendrix, was an American rock guitarist, singer, and composer. He fused American blues, jazz, rock, and soul with British avant-garde rock techniques to reinvent the electric guitar in his image. In Seattle, Washington, Hendrix was born November 27, 1942, and died September 18, 1970, in London, England.
Hendrix changed the path of popular music and became one of the most successful and influential musicians of his day despite having only a four-year active career as a featured performer.

The guitar got auctioned in 1990 for $325,000, and Allen bought it in a private sale later that decade for his Experience Music Project.
According to some reports, Allen paid $2 million for it, whereas Guitar Player magazine estimates it at $1.3 million.
