Who is Luka Doncic?

Luka Doncic is a pro athlete from Slovenia who currently plays for the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. In addition, he is part of the Slovenian national team. Panini National Treasures Luka Doncic Logoman Autograph card set as one of the most expensive sports cards in history. 

Luka Doncic, although being only 22 years old, has already established himself as one of the NBA’s finest players. In one area, he has already eclipsed LeBron James and Michael Jordan in his third NBA season. In addition, he was chosen Rookie of the Year for the 2018-19 season.

What makes this card one-of-its-kind?

For card collectors, National Treasures is the ultimate set. A single pack of ten cards in a box, including some of the most valuable cards in the hobby. It’s nearly impossible to come across a single MSRP package in public. So, Luka Doncic’s rookie card is one of the cards in the set. 

First, it’s the first time the Mavericks’ star has appeared on an NBA card. Second, Luka signed it before the card’s launch. So it’s not like someone tracked him down and had to sign the card. Instead, he signed for Panini (the set’s publisher). And put his autograph card in a pack. It has a Logoman, which implies a jersey patch embedded in it. Lastly, this card is 1 of 1. It indicates that only one of these kinds of cards exists.

Last February 2021, a record-breaking sale occurred, making a 2018-19 Luka Doncic card one of the most valuable sports cards in history. Panini National Treasures Luka Doncic Logoman Autograph was sold privately for $4.6 million.
