One of the most well-known weapons in the “Star Wars” universe is the BlasTech DL-44 hero prop blaster rifle Harrison Ford’s character in the 1983 film.
The original prop weapon, which was mostly wood and was built expressly for the film, was custom-made for the production.
Peter Hancock, the film’s Property Master, presented the United States of America when production concluded. Then, with the Han Solo blaster and a few additional items, Art Director James L. Schoppe poses.
For the past 35 years, Schoppe has stored this blaster and his vast collection of memorabilia in the archives.
How much is it worth today?
There was a 100% chance that Schoppe’s gun and roughly 40 other objects from the film would be sold, according to Martin Nolan, executive director of the auction house.
Also, Schoppe got nominated for an Oscar for his work on the film.
Finally, when Schoppe let go of his props from Return of Jedi, including Han Solo’s Blaster, the BlasTech DL-44 blaster prop won $550,000 at a New York auction.
