Who is the man behind ShowCase 4?

The man behind Showcase 4 is Augustyn. He began his career as an editor for Tru Studios’ Trollords in 1986. In 1987, he became the editor of the Syphons and Speed Racer for NOW Comics. He joined DC in 1988, beginning out as a co-editor on Action Comics when it was still a weekly title.

Augustyn worked as an editor for DC Comics in the late 1980s and early 1990s, editing series such as The Flash, Justice League, and Impact Comics.

Augustyn received the Wizard Fan Award for Favorite Editor in 1994 for his contributions to the business.

He worked at Visionary Comics Studio as the managing editor.

Augustyn joined The Flash as editor in 1989 and hired Mark Waid as a writer in 1992, resulting in a celebrated eight-year tenure.

With Augustyn’s guidance, Flash emerged from the shadows of his forefathers and significantly boosted his abilities.

The new Flash’s meteoric rise heralded a watershed event in comic book history: the start of the Silver Age (1956–69). Publishers might have given up on superheroes if the Flash hadn’t succeeded, putting the genre on the verge of extinction.
