Marvel Comics publishes Captain America 1, and of course, Captain America is a character that appears in American comic books. Captain America was also the most popular character during World War II; we don’t need to say the reason out loud, do we?

What’s the reason behind his name?

Joe Simon, a writer, came up with the idea for Captain America in 1940 and sketched the character in costume. “At the bottom of the page, I scribbled the name ‘Super America,” said Joe in his autobiography.

But after a while, according to Simon’s memoirs, he opted not to go with “Super America” since there are so many other “Supers” out there, and he wanted to keep this character distinct, which is why he invented “Captain America,” which is something new to the eyes and ears.

What is the value of this treasure in recent date?

A 9.2 copy is worth $500,000, according to the 2019 Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. On Overstreet’s Top 100 Golden Age Comics, Captain America 1 comics is ranked eighth.

In addition, Heritage Auctions managed to sell a San Francisco copy of Captain America Comics #1 in CGC 9.4 for $915,000 in 2019.

What is the significance of this comic?

In early 1941, Captain America appears in Captain America Comics #1, where he meets an American preparing to enter World War II. Given the current war, the plot revolves around a soldier; who was relevant at the time.

He is a Captain who punches Hitler out on the cover of the first classic issue! It also included the Red Skull, Cap’s most formidable Nazi archenemy. Most superhero comics from this era are propaganda efforts supporting the war, but Captain America is noteworthy.
